After four days of rehabilitation and being fed four times
daily, these pictures were taken. Imagine her condition when
found. A brave woman had the courage to stop what she was
doing and take the initiative to help when seeing her on Hull
Street. The SPCA cares for many animals such as this; unfortunately
that is not something well known to the general public..
The pictures are blurred and do not show her emaciation as
you would see in person. Hair brittle and lost due to malnutrition,
open sores where her skin couldn't cover her anymore, there
is also a huge open wound all the way around her neck where
something restrained her.
But she is wonderful! As she rehabilitates, her belly is
now round, hair is slowly growing back, wounds are slowly
healing.
She is a flirt! Kisses for everyone!
If you see us in the neighborhood please stop and say hello,
she is very friendly and we want to expose her to as many
people as possible to ensure that she is best socialized.
Six weeks later, she is so much better!
